Vixen Taurs, Topaz + More? Opinion
Topaz - Orange
That means if I went with a rainbow theme, I'd like to have the following:
Yellow
Green
Blue
Violet
Red or Pink (both?)
I also really like the idea of naming them after gemstones. (Suggestions?) Figured for red would be Ruby... but I figured that we could get more inventive than that.
I'm also thinking of basing them on different fox species. However, they probably won't get the over all glow of what Topaz has. However, I'm not sure if I'm keen on the idea of making them a color of the stone/hue they're to represent (green fox lol wut? )
I'd appreciate opinions on this. I'm leaning towards having them represent real fox species with tweaks (as Topaz may be inspired by a real fox species, but that fox species does not look like her). And then add their 'color' by their flowers, eyes, jewelry, background, accessories, etc.

Green - Emerald or Alexandrite
Blue - Aquamarine, or Sapphire
Violet - Sapphire or Amethyst
Red - Garnet or Alexandrite
Pink - Quartz or Diamond
Alexandrite changes from red to creen depending on what kind of light hits it. I love your idea for the species though, it sounds wonderful ^^ and not to mention there are enough different species of foxes for you to not have a problem <3

You're right about a green fox too xD Perhaps as ~fantasyforever has suggested, use the colours for their eyes, accessories and backgrounds, the accent colours
I also discovered that a stone that I'd had in my posession for a while was called White Howlite, perhaps looking up semi-precious stones as well as commonly known gemstones would give you some inspiration?

Green - Jadeite (jade), malachite, Johannite

I'm partial to ruby (red), citrine (yellow), peridot or jade (green), lapis lazuli or aquamarine (blue), amethyst (purple), and rose quartz (pink). Also, had you considered doing other colors? I came up with onyx (black), moonstone (gray), diamond or opal (white), etc.
