Artist's Comments

Sorry for the huge ol' copyright name across the chest. This image is gonna be offered as a print. That's why.

Anyway. The image is of Miloki's sibling, Aisu, designed/created by Jenna Daquanno (Kanashimi). Aisu is a maned wolf with margay spotting. Was a thank you to her in general as well as a way for me to explore coloring. There are areas I know I'm weak on in the image. But, it's another one of those 'burned out now' type moments.

Again. Prints of this will be sold at AnthroCon 2007.

Excellent job!! She is so serene and beautiful, and her hair flows naturally as a river! Even the background is awe-inspiring, I love how you made the trees and waterfalls! :D

BEAUTIFUL artwork. I expecially love the hair. You have any pointers you`ll be willing to give out on drawing hair?

Oh wow Frisket...the colours, the background, the mood is just beautiful. :) Your backgrounds have developed in leaps and bounds, your foliage skill is simply amazing! :D And water! WOW!

I love the mix of colours here, I wouldn't have thought a bright pink would work in this sort of setting but your chosen tones are just beautifully done! Gah, I'm so envious. :glomp:

Its wonderful to see so much work from you again. :)

I got new brushes ;) -- Check out my journal for the sources.
But ya. The trees are really not much more than brush-aids n' stuff :)

But thank you!

Woah, Melissa. That's just stunning work. She looks absolutely lovely. The pose is so elegant and her expression is very nicely done. :D How long did this take you? It's just amazing. :D

bout 7-8 hrs I think. I worked on it in pieces.

I never know how to use brushes and stuff...instead I try to make existing brushes fit...a bit silly on my behalf! LOL :P

But don't discount yourself on using brushes and aids, if used badly they look terrible. I particularly like your composition, the foliage in the foreground draws you in.

I hope you've been well...sorry I haven't been commenting on your stuff lately...had a crazy busy semester. :)

Wow. That's quite a bit of time. It really payed off, that's for sure. :D

P.S. Did you read my note, by the way?
