With my love of Lunar rekindled, I've been trying new experiments. With art there are leaps of evolution. Things that make us advance ourselves quickly because we find reasons to leave our comfort zones and push forward.
This image was such a piece. taught me a great deal with the coloring of the mountains and to gain depth. Thank you hon. I tackled a variety of new things.. both a full color BG, new techniques in coloring and in general style - anime-like to fit the theme. This was surprisingly draining to do c_c; But I'm pleased.
The characters are Leera and Lunix. Two Lunar-fan characters I made up. Leera, the girl, is of the Pao Praire Tribe and is a fighter/mage of about 16-17 years of age. Lunix is a black dragon (though this is her lesser/small form) who has the classical love of fish.
Thank ya. Believe it or not, use to draw humans all the time... Had to quit because a lot of it was linework..and people were takin' the linework c_c;; So I just nixed uploadin' my sketches. ^_^;
But glad y'like it. Thank ya for the comment.
Ahh, I adore the muted, fresh lighting.. it gives it such a cool, peaceful feel (and I don't mean that cool in slang). Those lines are yummiliciously thin and even and that shading is soft and adds to the peace of the scene. Lovely.

This is really beautiful hon! I don't think I've ever seen such a detailed background from you before, or such a realistic one anyway. I must admit I do like these type of backgrounds more, but I still absolutely adore your stylised, graphic style ones too! The hair of the girl is gorgeous, I love how you draw and render curled locks. Beautiful colours, very pastel influenced but still having that shall I say "oomf" All in all beautiful and can't wait for more!
I envy your people drawing skills now! First one I've actually seen from you, and it's amazing Although I admit...even if I could draw people...I wouldn't Something would just feel...like it's missing

For those who have many watchers, and for those who dont have many, it is hard to know how one retains that interest as well as receive more. This article explores the basics of watchers and how we react to certain situations. Although it does not affect some deviants, and the tips are generally related to common sense, we hope the article is a worthwhile read and that the majority learn something from reading this.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article.
In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
