Prelim - Master Lorekeeper Sayth by frisket17
Prelim - Master Lorekeeper Sayth
This is a character I've had on my paper for months now, but I've just now sat down and finished a prelim.  She's generic, at least look wise.  Oh boy, cream jackal.
She's an anubis / fictional 'jackal'.  Real jackals do not have the whip-like tails or large ears.  Stylized and inspired by Egyptian status of Anubis and Wepwawet.

I'll have more information about her and the little mini story later.  Basically she's a master lorekeeper.   All of history is recorded by her and her disciples.   The floaty eyes around her are 'Seekers'.  They watch. They record. They report.
Originally this was supposed to be a fast scribble and paperdoll. I got carried away and just built a bit more on.

Minor world building garbage and notes.

Sayth is Master Lorekeeper. She runs the main 'library' of sorts of recorded history.
Seekers - Tiny fiery eyeball type minions. They watch. They record information and report back. Keepers often have at least one (though the more grand you are, you may have many).  They can be any color and any type of 'eye' style (IE cat eye, round eye, goat eye, etc) and their color, not always but often, reflects the color of the person they belong to.

Keepers - Lesser than Sayth, but a main organizer of a 'branch'. The Keepers report to Sayth. Keepers record in their own vicinity.
- Symbol of the Hourglass

Scribes - They record. They research. They work in the main sanctuaries. They are master of scrolls and often seem to specialize in a specific time era. Some deal with the past, some deal with present, some deal with future. They record the what if, and the what is. Library cannot run without them.
- Minor ranking system.
- Usually have the symbol of the Scales somewhere on their person. Their research and opinions are unbiased. They record and have no opinion on what is, what can be, or what was.

Watchers - They may travel and interact where Seekers cannot... They often have a lesser Seeker with them - though some may have a regular Seeker. Levels of Seekers are dependent on how much information they 'record'. Attention spans more or less.
-Symbol of the eye
- Sometimes advanced traits. IE: Camouflage, speed, agility greater than others.

Cookie Paperdoll - Panda Shepherd by frisket17
Cookie Paperdoll - Panda Shepherd
This is my first character auction. If it goes well, I may do more and be open to species suggestions for future works.
If you have questions or concerns, please let me know as I'm learning as I go and will expand my TOS and FAQ as I get questions.

AUCTION DETAILS:

This is for a female canine character based loosely on a Panda German Shepherd. Winning bidder will own rights to the character, as well as the right to post/use the paperdoll as the wish (with the expectation of credit of the art is still retained by me).
Winner gets high rez copy of the sheet, plus if they want, a broken down color box for eyedropping colors.

Starting Bid: $50 (cost of a basic paperdoll).

Auction Ends: Friday 10/17 a Midnight EST.

If the auction goes well,. I'll start adding on ladder options (including additional pieces of art.) This is being played by ear since this is my first auction and really do not know what to expect.
I may offer an auto buy option.

TOS:

1) Character is yours if you win. You may change any and all aspects about her you want.

2) Do not bid if you do not have the funds. Payment must be arranged to be paid within 1 business week from time auction closes or character defaults to next highest bidder.

3) Payment is money order, check, or cash. (Money order preferred).
I do not use Paypal.

4) Please make sure you wish to bid. People who are known to not follow through with their bids, have negative reviews, or suspected of dummy/sock accounts will be banned and bid voided.

5) Reselling character is up to you. You own the character. You, again, can do what you want with it.

6) If ownership of this character changes, I must be notified so I can update description details on this to prevent unauthorized use (to protect buyer)

Please note I reserve final rights to proceed with transaction or decline.
Questions or concerns can be addressed to me preferably through comments below or through PM

Thank you kindly and happy bidding!

BIDDING HAPPENS HERE:   www.furaffinity.net/view/14753…

** If you do not have an FA account, please leave a comment here with your bid and I will transfer the bid to the Auction on FA.

I've got a character I plan on auctioning soon. I'd like to brain pick. What works and doesn't work in running an auction smoothly?

The image will be a paperdoll ready to go -- a delux/detail colored. It will start at the price of a basic paper doll. (Female - Canine)

How long should an auction run to garner interest?
Should there be an auto-buy? What range is appropriate for adoptables/character auctions?
Is the idea of making it a ladder (IE: if it hits X amount another piece of art included? ) an enticing one or not really?
Price intervals? (IE: minimum between bidding)
Any TOS type information I should go over when making description?

Biggest question:
Who and how many would be interested?

IF this goes well, what type of species would people be interested in? More out there color schemes or something realistic? Brain pick :D

Thank you all!
